Day One
Check into the place you will be staying. If you are hungry, find a quick bite at A Little Cafe in Wildwood Crest. Enjoy a salad or sandwich, soup, or delicious baked good, along with a full-service coffee bar. This location also offers options for those who are gluten free or vegan. After you are all settled in and full from lunch, head out to the beach to set up camp until it gets dark! Of course head to Wildwoods’ beach, the free public beach that is available where you are staying.
Once the sun has tired you out for the evening and you’ve enjoyed a satisfying shower to get the salt off, check out Beach Creek for dinner. Offering delicious cocktails like the Cuban mojito, sunset sangria, extensive appetizers and a raw bar, and dinner options such as flatbreads and seared tuna, you can’t go wrong. After dinner check out Pirates of Wildwood Mini Golf, or any other mini golf location (there are spots everywhere you turn). If your first night happens to be a Friday, check out the boardwalk fireworks at 10 p.m. that occur every week.
Day Two
Head to the Wildwood boardwalk for the day and spend some time at Morey’s Beachfront Water Parks. There are plenty of slides and a lazy river to keep you cool for hours. Once you work up an appetite in the afternoon, head out of the water park and grab a bite of pizza at the many delicious spots on the boardwalk, such as Sam’s Pizza Palace. In the evening once you are all changed from the beach, check out the lively boardwalk at night to ride rollercoasters on Morey’s Piers. Also be sure to grab a custard or Polish water ice. If you are looking for a night out, check out Club Amnesia.
Day Three
Grab a breakfast sandwich or donuts at Fractured Prune Donut Shoppe before heading out to spend a day at the beach. Or, if you want to explore somewhere new, take a ride down to Cape May (about a 20 minute car ride south of Wildwood). If you want to check out the beaches on Cape May, beach tags are required and cost $8 per person per day. Cape May is also home to amazing food and places to shop. Grab a coffee at Avalon Coffee or lunch at Rusty Nail, then go over to the Washington Street mall, home to three blocks of outdoor boutique shops. Cape May also has walking ghost tours at night if you are interested in learning some of the haunts that have happened. Offered on Fridays and Saturdays in the summer, tickets start at $20.
Day Four
Once you are all checked out, take one last stroll on the boardwalk or at the beach. Grab a coffee and shop around at the Boardwalk Mall.
