How to Update Your Apartment or Dorm Room for Spring
If you need some tips on how to update your apartment or dorm room for spring, look no further.
Living in your own space can be exciting for the sole purpose of decorating. I miss the days of living in my apartment and getting to decorate the way I wanted to, a privilege I don’t have now that I live at home (even though I do get to decorate my bedroom).
See my tips below for brining spring into your space this season.
You Can Buy Yourself Flowers
This may be an obvious one, but fresh flowers in a vase is a sure way to brighten up your space, and your mood. Opt for spring-time colors like pinks and purples to create a pop of color in your apartment or dorm. Also, flowers generally don’t take up a ton of space so they are a great option if you are living in tight quarters.
Coffee Table Books
Beautiful, pink coffee table books about flowers or other ideas that make you think of spring can brighten up your room. They are also perfect for browsing while lounging around, it can be an instant mood-boost to flip through pages of flowers (even if where you live might still be chilly in the spring).
Change up Towels and Linens
This is such a simple idea, and there are always spring-themed hand towels at Target or HomeGoods. Swap bathroom and kitchen towels for those that embody spring. Pink pastels, floral designs, or neutral greens bring a hint of the outdoors.
A Spring Welcome
Another simple idea to add a touch of spring to your space is to decorate your dorm room or apartment door. Adding a spring wreath with artificial or dried florals is sure to make a statement to guests. Wreaths can also be hung in other parts of your apartment, such as your kitchen space (above the sink, etc.). In addition to a wreath at the front door, you can add a spring door mat, Target has a bunch of simple doormats available.
