Incorporating a mid-century vibe is timeless, with clean lines and natural materials. A great way to incorporate this style into your home is in an office space.
You can spend hours shopping around for a new, functional office chair. There are so many options available on Facebook Marketplace, where I got a metal chair that I paired with my desk at home for three years. But spending long hours in front of the computer was leaving my back and shoulders in knots. In addition to other ergonomic items, like a new keyboard and mouse, I decided it was time to purchase a new desk chair.
I spent quite a while deciding on which office chair to get and from where. But alas, Amazon came in clutch like it does for basically anything you could need. I settled on a brown armless desk chair that was rated 4.6 stars out of 638 ratings. The option in brown was only $46.99 so I decided to give it a shot.
Assembly of the Office Chair
The office chair came four days early, in a relatively small package. Once I opened it, I was intimidated by all of the parts. The screws are all labeled by step, but I at first could not find the written instructions. Just know they are on the bottom side of the cushion you will be sitting on! After finding the instructions, it was very easy to put together, and probably only took about 10 minutes. You start by assembling the bottom piece with the wheels (which pop right into place). Then you assemble the top part and place it right into the base.
How it Looks
Furniture that has a mid-century vibe can blend with many aesthetics. The material is made from polyester, but the chair gives the illusion of leather, which gives a mid-century look. It appears that it would be easy to wipe clean, which is excellent if you are planning to have it in a home office where you will be spending a lot of time.
The Feel
The office chair is so supportive of your lower back thanks to the lumbar support. It’s height adjustable so you can find a spot that is comfortable when working at a desk. The seat cushion is comfortable and soft, with a slight dip to support your bottom. After spending long hours sitting in, it doesn’t leave my back sore like the other chair did.
