Make This Iced Raspberry Matcha Latte at Home for a Valentine’s Day Treat
Valentine’s Day is just around the corner, make this iced raspberry matcha latte for a festive sip.
Raspberries are the ideal fruit to enjoy around Valentine’s Day. The gorgeous red color is so festive and they are a delicious sweet snack. Raspberry pairs perfectly with matcha, making this recipe an ideal pick me up for Valentine’s day.
Ingredients
- 1 tsp Ceremonial grade matcha, I use Jade Leaf Organic Ceremonial Matcha Barista Edition
- Honey
- 1/4 cup cool water
- About a tbsp of frozen raspberries
- 3/4 cup of oat milk or milk of choice
- Ice
Directions
- Sift 1 tsp of matcha through a matcha sifter into a bowl. Add any amount of honey to matcha powder, depending on how sweet you like it. Add cool water to the powder and honey, whisk with a matcha whisk until slightly frothy.
- Prepare frozen raspberries by placing them in a bowl and heating in microwave for around 15-20 seconds. Once defrosted, crush raspberries with a fork until they are more of a liquid consistency.
- Place crushed raspberries at the bottom of a drinking glass.
- Add ice over raspberries to the top of the drinking glass.
- Add oat milk or milk of choice to your drinking glass.
- Last, pour matcha mixture into glass.
Viola! You just made a delicious matcha treat. Note that if you mix everything together, the matcha will turn a purple-brown color. I personally like to move the raspberries around a little, but keep them on the bottom and sip from the bottom with a straw so the drink retains its green color.
